Brisbane, Australia / Chennai, India - TracWater Australia has formally established TracWater India Pvt Ltd, now fully operational and headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The new entity serves as the exclusive authorised licensee in India for TracWater’s globally patented cloud-based water-quality robotic monitoring technology.

The expansion marks a significant milestone in TracWater’s international growth strategy and positions the company to support India’s rapidly expanding municipal and environmental water infrastructure.

Bringing Cloud-Based Robotic Water Monitoring to India

TracWater’s patented robotic systems are designed to provide continuous, autonomous, cloud-connected water quality monitoring across:

  •  Municipal drinking water distribution networks

  • Water treatment plants

  • River and lake environmental monitoring

  • Dam and aquifer source water protection

  • Industrial process water

  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities

  • Educational institutions

Unlike traditional manual sampling approaches, TracWater robots operate continuously, transmitting encrypted data to secure cloud dashboards, enabling operators to detect anomalies in real time, monitor distributed networks remotely, improve compliance visibility, reduce operational risk, and enhance public health protection.

Launching at Municipalika – India’s Premier Municipal Infrastructure Event

Last week TracWater India exhibited at Municipalika, widely recognised as one of India’s largest international trade fairs and conferences focused on urban development, municipal governance, water, sanitation, and smart city innovation.

Municipalika bought together Municipal Commissioners, city engineers, State urban development departments, public health authorities, infrastructure developers, and smart city leaders from across India.

With thousands of participants and strong government and industry representation, Municipalika provided a national platform for technology solutions aimed at improving municipal service delivery.

TracWater India is already in active discussions with several municipalities seeking to deploy robotic monitoring systems to strengthen distributed drinking water quality assurance for households.

Supporting Safer Water for Households

As India continues to invest in water infrastructure modernisation and smart city development, the need for continuous, transparent, and data-driven monitoring is growing.

TracWater’s robotic systems support:

  • Continuous free chlorine and multi-parameter water quality assurance

  • Improved compliance reporting

  • Early detection of distribution network risks

  • Reduced dependency on manual testing cycles

  • Greater transparency for municipal operators

A Strategic Step in Global Expansion

The launch of TracWater India reinforces TracWater Australia’s broader strategy of expanding its cloud-based water intelligence platform into high-growth international markets.

With its Chennai headquarters and national focus, TracWater India is positioned to play a key role in advancing data-driven water quality management across urban and regional India.
